FREC 3 and 4 together enable registration as an Emergency Care Assistant (ECA) with the Health Practice Associates Council (HPAC), and FREC5 qualifies you for Ambulance Technician registration. Most other NHS services accept FREC 3 and 4 together at ECA grade but take fewer direct entrants at this grade, and most private ambulance services take FREC 3 and 4 at ECA grade with some contracts accepting FREC5's.
