Terms of Use

Last updated: 15 June 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Ronin SA Graduate Member Portal (the "Portal"), operated by Ronin SA ("we", "us", "our"). The Portal connects Ronin SA graduates ("Graduates") with approved employers and recruiters ("Employers") for legitimate recruitment, professional networking, and alumni engagement.

By creating an account as either a graduate or as an employer, or otherwise using the Portal, you - either in your personal capacity or as an authorised representative on behalf of your company, agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, you may not use the Portal.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Portal.

Graduate accounts are provisioned directly by Ronin SA. Only verified Ronin SA graduates may hold a Graduate account.

Employer accounts may be registered subject to Ronin SA’s approval.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly at info@ronin.co.za if you suspect any unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or that are used in breach of these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

When using the Portal, you agree that you will not:

Strict enforcement on external circulation: If Ronin SA becomes aware that any directory information or job listing has been circulated outside the Portal, the responsible individual or organisation will have their access revoked and their details may be entered onto the Ronin Wall of Shame. This policy protects our graduates and maintains trust with recruiting partners.

We reserve the right to remove any content and to suspend or terminate any account that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms.

4. Employer obligations

Employers are solely responsible for the content and accuracy of their job listings and for ensuring that their listings, hiring practices, and communications comply with all applicable South African laws (including anti-discrimination and equal-opportunity requirements). Employers must not request fees, payments, or sensitive financial information from Graduates as a condition of application.

5. Graduates, applications, and no guarantee of employment

The Portal is a venue that allows Graduates and Employers to find one another. Ronin SA does not employ Graduates, does not participate in hiring decisions, and is not a party to any employment agreement.

We do not screen, endorse, verify, or guarantee any Employer, job listing, applicant, or the accuracy of any information on the Portal. Graduates are strongly urged to conduct their own due diligence on any employer or offer before sharing personal information or accepting engagement.

Ronin SA receives no commission or remuneration of any kind from any party for circulating job opportunities.

South African graduates may require official authorisation to work in certain conflict theatres, as designated by the Minister of Safety and Security. Applications for such authorisation should be directed to:

South African National Conventional Arms Control Committee (NCACC)
Directorate of Conventional Arms Control
Private Bag X910
Pretoria 0001

6. User content and licence

You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as profiles, CVs, job listings, and messages) ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Portal.

You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit your User Content and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

7. Our intellectual property

The Portal, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and the alumni directory structure (but excluding your User Content), is owned by or licensed to Ronin SA and protected by intellectual-property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Portal for its intended purpose only. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Portal except as expressly permitted.

8. Fees

The Portal is currently free for Graduates for the first 12 months after graduation, thereafter a fee will be charged for access (Currently 10 Euro per year). Certain Employer features may be subject to fees, which will be disclosed before you incur them. All fees are non-refundable (except as required by law) and inclusive of applicable taxes. We may change fees on reasonable notice.

9. Third-party links and content

The Portal may contain links to third-party websites. We provide them for convenience only and are not responsible for their content or practices. Access is at your own risk.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Portal is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Portal will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law:

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Ronin SA harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Portal, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, for breach of these Terms, legal requirements, or to protect the Portal and Users. Sections 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, and 16 survive termination.

14. Changes to the Portal and these Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Portal at any time. We may amend these Terms; material changes will be notified by email or a notice on the Portal. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

16. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
