Ronin™ (SA) provides a Close Protection Course which, due to its multi disciplined nature, is highly relevant to a host of security applications both land based and maritime, be they within either a Hostile or a Medium Risk environment.

Many of our graduates have military & police backgrounds, but this is not a requirement to attend our training. Civilians with suitable background checks, an open mind, disciplined work ethic and a good level of fitness do very well.

Local Recognition of Prior Learning

Upon successful completion of the Ronin SA Close Protection Course, you are welcome to apply for RPL / APL in your home country for the purpose of licensing as a Close Protection Officer.

Scenic Hout Bay is a lively coastal town with a lovely swimming beach and a picturesque harbour where you can buy some of the best fish and chips in the world.


Students live in modern self-catering apartments sharing a room with a colleague (same gender) close (200m) to the beach,  restaurants, shops, gyms, laundry and best of all, the  training center.


Breakfast & Dinner is taken at an assortment of local restaurants on a voucher based system. Tastes range from Italian to Mexican and all the usual tastes  in between

Helsingborg, Sweden

Known as Sweden's friendliest City, Helsingborg is located close to the sea and nature and offers great restaurants, good shopping, interesting museums, great cultural events and much more.


Students live in modern self-catering cottages sharing a room with a  colleague (same gender) close (100m) to the beach. The resort includes an on-site restaurant, convenience store as well as a jogging track through the forest. 


Buffet Breakfast and Dinner is served on-site.

Entry Requirements

English Language Proficiency is at an equivalent level of CEFR B2 level (Receptive skills as well as written and spoken)
Civilian Driving License for more than 2 years - minimum of a Code B with Manual / Stick Shift transmission
Good physical fitness baseline - tested on arrival with our Standard Fitness Test
Clear or Approved Criminal Background Check
